XiaomiRedmi Note 3 review


Few months ago Xiaomi company announced third version of very successful model of Xiaomi Redmi Note family. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with plenty of innovations that you will be definitely interested in. Is it worth your money?


Design & Body

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is first device of Xiaomi Redmi family with fully metal body. Weight of Note 3 is 164 grams, It's just 4 grams heavier than Note 2 what is really small difference if we consider new metal body. Thickness of this device is just 8.65 mm.

The front 5,5" FullHD IPS display of the Note 3 is covered by a piece of white, black or gold glass considering color of the device. Above the screen is the earpiece next to proximity sensors and front 5MPx camera.

Phone is equipped with dual-LED flash and the fingerprint scanner at the back. The fingerprint sensor is placed below the 13 MPx camera.

SIM card tray for two microSIM cards is located on the left side of the Note 3. The volume buttons and power button are on the right side.

Audio jack and IR led are placed on the top and micro USB port is at the bottom of the device.

Hardware & Software

The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is powered by the MediaTek Helio X10 with octa-core 2GHz Cortex-A53 processor. GPU used in this phone is PowerVR G6200. Xiaomi offers two versions of RAM and memory, first with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage memory, second with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of memory. Performance of Note 3 is sufficient to handle everything including newest games as shown in many benchmarks. Note 3 is equipped with 4000mAh battery which provides enough energy for all day use.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 runs on MIUI v7, which is based on Android 5.0.2. The MIUI v7 is very simple and clean GUI, which provides more energy efficiency but still enough performance.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is a great smartphone with huge amount of power for very low price. So is it worth your money? Yes, definitely YES.
